Been away for the last two weekends

I’ve been away this last weekend and for Easter and haven’t had much chance to do any blogging, my annual accounts are due end of the month too, so busy time!

Over Easter we went to Wales and did the tourist bits around Cardiff, went to Caerphilly Castle, did an open top bus tour and then in the evening we went to the Millennium Stadium with 35,000 others to watch Joe Calzaghe beat Peter Manfredo Jr (from The Contender TV show) and also Amir Khan win his 12th fight.

On the Sunday we went to the Vale Hotel Golf & Spa Resort just outside Cardiff to relax and on the Monday went to Tenby, we were going against the traffic which was a bonus, and as we had been all weekend, we were blessed with good weather. It was great to be able to chill out on the beach there for the day it was a lovely little place.

Then last Friday we flew to Northern Ireland as an old university friend was getting married. We went to the wedding on Friday afternoon and then on Saturday went to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and to Giants Causeway doing the tourist thing. There was an impressive drive along the coast roads too.

All in all a couple of very good weekends.

I’m off to see the Artic Monkeys in Birmingham this Friday so something else to look forward to coming up.

Kandevil - So fortunate for you to be able to travel to one of the most beautiful countries that exist. My mother’s people were Welsh-Irish and I was fortunate enough to visit both countries years ago. Thanks for the photos as it brings back memories of days long past. Erin go bre.
